Wool in the Woods
Here is a great shawl/scarf one skein project. The yarn is spun, then plied so it has these tight coils. It feels like cotton in the skein (I was suprised when I read the alble 100% wool) It knits up with a nice hand & drape and there were NO problems snaging the coils or anything!
Finished size after blocking: 16" x 51"
Yarn: Wool in the Woods, Pizazz, Color: Outrageous 140 yards, 100% wool
Needles: denise 15's
Recipe: Cast on 34 stitches
knit 3 rows
row 1 - K2 *Yo, K2tog rep * across to the last 2 stitches K2
Row 2 - K2, *purl rep * across to the last 2 stitches. K2
Keep going until it looks like you are almost at the end,
Knit 3 rows and bind off!
This recipe is adaptable to ANYTHING! The finished shawl will bias a bit due to the pattern, but that makes it look complicated and cool! I like to accentuate the bias when I block.
Sorry for the crappy photos, but its one of those colors that just will not show well on my digital camera
