So, so, so behind

on everything. I have taken on too many jobs and the puppies have pushed me right over the edge... See??

Yes that's a big honkin HOLE in their crate that, by the way, is already clamped shut at the seam.Shea says "I was sleepin"Paladin says" um, Hi Mommy!"The terrible 2. That's what I'm calling them. Destroyed yarn, roving, and played in the plants so they were MUDDY! ack!

We now have a titanium metal crate for daytime use when I'm working out of the house. But aren't they cute? 12 weeks old and almost 30 pounds!

Mean while, I have completed a swing top, a pair of Silk Garden Wristers, a pair of Andean Silk wristers, the Forest Canopy Cowel and a half-pipe hat. I've updated my Ravelry with everything if you want to see. If not, lookit this:

much cuteness!!!! Noolie SPUN and KNIT this for The Mayor. He likes it very much and it will be super warm to wear in the snow that we finally got (today), which btw is The Mayor's birthday. 7 years old. yikes! I told him to stop now, he's reached maximum cuteness. He can stay 7 forever....... (if only he could)

Hats from Maine

Not last week, but the week before ( I think) I got a lovely heavy box from Noolie- HATS!! Some crocheted, most knit and all absolutely gorgeous.
This one is my fav-

and this one too...
Noolie has been such a great "imiginary" friend (what DH calls my internet buddies). She plays every contest, comments every post and supports each endevor whole heartedly. I'm a lucky knitter and feel so blessed to have made this amazing friend.

She's a damm good knitter/crocheter/spinner too.

Here is a link to all the hats she knit and blogged- click here and check them out.

I'm way way behind posting... life happens. I'm thinking of doing mini-posts, like a picture and just a few words. Maybe then I'll keep up?

or just list them.
Things to post: Rivendell socks- done, Bee & Thistle- done 2xs, Pro Natura- 50%, bad hair day scarf cast on.
OK fingers crossed I get some pc time later to toss up a few pics to the internet!

All knitting has stopped.....

On Saturday after a long week of email and phone calls, I got a spinning wheel!!!!! An Ashford Traditional to be exact!

Here she is as soon as I got home and did a bit of spinning (with supervision)
Then I cleaned her up and gave her a good wood conditioning. Looks so pretty!

Since then I have not knit a stitch (well, actually I knit a little at the pre-work meeting yesterday).
I spun up these 3 skeins-
Spun and plied what is on the bobbin here (pic later)
And have been having the BEST TIME getting to know my new friend.
Of course its not all sunshine and roses....

but we are getting along great!

You know its bad when you get annoied at the other household members for things like Dinner and Bedtime, since they interrupt your spinning groove.

Today I really really need to get the Christmas decorations up and the house straightened for playgroup this afternoon.... then its back to spinning!

I'll post again soon... I won an award AND a prize! plus I'm going to participate in PIF so if you were planning on PIF'ing too, wait for my post! In the meantime, go on over to Noolie's and congratulate her on the birth of grandaughter Clover.

Light the Night

This is from Noolie:
"I am walking in Honor of Betty Chase (pictured above), a dear friend and co-worker who has been battling Multiple Myeloma since December of 2001. A few years ago, Betty formed a team (Betty's Boops) to walk in the Light the Night walk to raise funds to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their efforts to find new treatments and cures for Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma."

This is the same Betty that Noolie collected squares from all over the internet and made a beautiful comforting blanket a while back.

Oh and did I mention she is giving away prizes? Check them out here

Wanna donate? check the Light the Night button on the right or click here

Thanks!

So the problem with getting behind on blogs and email is that it snowballs... first the Mayor with his accident then our router "bricked" and we needed new. Ah. I'm starting to get caught up a bit, but I HAVE A SPINNING WHEEL FOR A WEEK and am having too much fun. Pics of wheel spun yarns soon!

Talk Later.
