In Reverse Order

Because this is how blogger loaded them and I have not figured out how to move them on the new laptop.... (new OS, and the the touchpad are giving me fits)

I've been doing a ton of knitting this year, really look:
A mini reversible duck to bunny
'I used some Cotton Fleece and Patons (gold for the ducks bill and feet) and us 5 needles.
It was totally rockin cute. I say was because yesterday Paladin grabbed it off the breakfast bar and "loved it up". One ear is mangled on the bunny and the bunny face is messed up. Plus its covered in dog spit now. gggrrrr, not like the floor does not have 10 bones and dog toys littered around, Pal has a thing for handknits and handspun.

I wrote a crochet cowl and fingerless mitts pattern for Schaefer yarn Miss Priss.
Its a fun project and you can get both out of one skein! The pattern will come out sometime in the fall.

I knit the Snuggler Model for Nelkin Designs

What a great hoodie! I really had a hard time giving it back. I used Schaefer Heather in Indigo. The fabric has such a delicious feel, totally yummy. My only problem was that I knit it in a medium and have not been a "medium" since before the boy was born ;) I had a friend model it and was was in love with the lace on the sleeves and the pocket!
The pattern is great, the lace makes it fun and I'd love to do another in my size. Seriously, I'm gonna knit a sweater for ME this year.

I did a soaker too for the friend of a friend-
Patons classic wool in bright red and I added some crocheted butt ruffles! too cute!

I've been knitting the dishcloths from the Monthly dishcloth KAL group too- I'm going to try to do them all this year (and get the stash down) (all Ravelry links) So, that's 6 already! go me.

All in addition to being sicksicksick, working, babysitting and dogsitting! But at least I have a good (?) working laptop now so I'm hoping this will let me blog more often..... maybe:) we will see...

Trilce a FO

Cari at Dogs Steal Yarn designed and blogged this sweater at the end of December. I fell in love and immediately begged her to let me test knit

Knit at 3.5 spi , Trilce has a gentle flair to the bottom and 3/4 length sleevesThis style looks good on many body types (modeled here by a playgroup mom) To see more body types modeling the sweater check my Ravelry notes- I'm cbast25.Project specs:

Pattern: Trilce by Cari Luna- (I'm not sure when she will make it available so just go nag her)

Yarn: Wool in the Woods Taos Tweed (60% alpaca 37% wool 3% nylon) 3 skein and 1 skein Lamb's Pride in Charcoal Heather. I didn't have enough of the Taos Tweed so I used the LP for the cuffs, botton and collar- the color really compliments the Tweed- at least I think is does. All yarn is from STASH!

Needles: Denise 11, 10, 10.5 and 9's (mostly 9's)

Fun Factor: High. 3.5 spi and yummy yarn, plus a wearable FO. Happy me!

Now on to other news....

I spent the morning putting a total of 5 things in my Etsy shop. sigh. Gotta get better at this. anyhoo go check it out! All proceeds go to the purchase of a new car....

Speaking of the car... the end result of the oil change chain company is this: They will give us $2500 and that's that. We can sue but will probably only get another $5-600 and then they could default, and then we would have to go to court again, and court fees, blah, blah, blah (this is the recomindation of our lawyer)

They are so lucky they are not in my prescence. Just sayin'. And I will dis them to everyone within hearing for the rest of my life. Arrruuggh.

Warning: very picture heavy post!

First up: 2 mock-mocks or Dickies as they are commonly called (tee-hehe I am ten yrs old). I hate for my neck to be cold and made one last year for myself- then lost recently.They are my own "makey up" pattern , Adrienne Vittadini Trina yarn, 7 16" circs, raglan increases. I did them a little different this time with ,raglan increases and it works well. Last time I did a flap in the front and back which is good for V neck shirts. I love them because it looks like you are layered, have the neck area covered and can easily take them off when you warm up.

Next is Sitcom Chic.
I used Caron Simply Soft Shadows and don't like it. I like it well enough in the skein and knitting, but just didn't like anything once I actually put it on. I think its just heaver than I imagined or whatever.... I sewed ribbon on the inside of the edge and put the clasp on. Its going to be gifted to someone at Christmas now. Oh well, try again!

The Mayor and I made some gnomes (there were more, but they went to live elsewhere) courtesy of Kristy's blog surfing...Fun project to do yourself or with a kid. The Mayor had a really good time.

Next: Clover Leaf Socks in Lorna's Laces Shepherd worsted. The pattern is Lorna's Laces, it and the yarn were purchased at Loop when I went for the dyeing class.Lookit that heel! Finally a short row heel I like and looks good. These are comfy and were a quick knit.... to be gifted to someone special (and if they don't fit they are MINE!)Last up my Killer Mantis socks! LOVELOVELOVE 'em
The pattern is from Lorna's Laces, called "Slipped Rib Socks". The yarn is my Yarn Pirate October club yarn, "Killer Bees" colorway.
I started these Saturday and finished Wednesday night. A great combination of easy pattern and super yarn made this a quick knit. The pattern is great for showing off handpainted yarns and easy to memorize- only 4 rows (& 3 are the same). Mr Wonderful commented that they didn't look like bees at all- more like Mantis hence the name change.

I love these socks so much, they make me smile every time I get a glimpse of the green. I even washed last night so I could wear them again today!

Ok, I think I'm all caught up now... whew!

Next up- finishing Spa Sets for Christmas and a pair for Gentleman socks for Mr Wonderful.
